The Elms Assisted Living Announces Try UsYoull Love Us 30-Day Trial Stay Program in Coastal New England
Westerly, RI (PRWEB) April 03, 2015
In celebration of its 30th anniversary, The Elms Retirement Living is offering seniors an unusual opportunity to try out luxury assisted living on The Elms campus without a long-term commitment.
Guy Maiorano, founder and owner of Elms Senior Assisted Living in Rhode Island, says he is honored to be celebrating 30 years in business by offering the “30 Years – 30 Days” program. “Short stay residents can experience a beautifully furnished hotel-like suite for one month and receive any or all of our professional services.”
The Elms main building provides independent seniors with a full menu of amenity services, social engagements, and wellness programs. Three daily gourmet meals and snacks, transportation services to appointments, housekeeping and laundry services, and more are part of the amenities at The Elms Assisted Living, all set in a gracious Victorian neighborhood near downtown Westerly on the Connecticut border. Everything is included – even the toothbrush!
Basic short-stay rates start at $ 3,995 with additional specialized Personal Care and Assistance services available. Administrator Mark Taylor notes, “The community fee and security deposit are waived for the 30 day stay trial program. It’s great for seniors having work done on their homes, transitioning after making a long distance move, or who just aren’t sure if the assisted living experience is right for them.”
The Elms Senior Assisted Living is unique in coastal Rhode Island. In addition to independent living the extended campus also offers a continuum of care for seniors who suffer from the progression of Alzheimer’s Disease and other dementias, with two dedicated memory care communities, The Carriage House and Chestnut Cottage.
“I can’t believe it’s been 30 years,” Maiorano said. “I was 28 years old when I opened The Elms with only three residents. All these years later, after expanding nine times, I couldn’t be more proud of my staff and company.” The latest feature added to The Elms, Guy continues, is “our new one-bedroom, 700 square-foot apartments which are beautifully appointed and offer luxury at affordable rates.”
What makes The Elms Assisted Living different from other senior living communities in the area is The Elms has always been been privately owned and operated, not a publicly traded large corporation. Maiorano notes, “We’re able to offer a lower monthly price, better staffing ratios, and a stable team of tenured, service-focused employees for the 130 residents on our three building campus.”
When The Elms opened in 1985 as a “sheltered care facility” with only 12 rooms and 3 residents, Guy Maiorano never imagined the premiere community The Elms Assisted Living would become. “Residents and their families in our area requested even more amenities and services and we responded, creating an opportunity for us to grow and flourish,” Guy recalls. “No doubt that’s why we’re still here after 30 years!”
